The success of your sessions will depend in part on the connection you have with your therapist and how well you are able to work together. The most knowledgeable, prestigious therapist in the world might not do you much good if the two of you can’t see eye to eye. At JCA Mental Health, we understand that making this important connection requires getting to know you. We’ll discuss your goals for personal growth, your current or prior mental health needs, and your reasons for coming to JCA Mental Health, so we understand how to best serve you.
Once we’ve established what you want or need from therapy, you will be paired with the therapist we believe is most likely to help you reach your goals. This will depend on factors like the type of therapy services you’re seeking and the issues or conditions you’re here to address. We’ll also ask you about any personal preferences you might have in a therapist, like someone of the same gender, race, or sexual identity. We know that working with a therapist with similar life experiences can be powerful, and JCA Mental Health is home to a large, diverse staff from all walks of life, including many LGBTQIA++ and BIPOC therapists.
Just like dating, sometimes what seems like a perfect fit in theory might not work so well in reality. We get that too, and it’s okay! If you don’t feel like your therapist is the right fit, we want to know. We’ll work with you to find a better match. Our mission at every step is to support you in the best way possible.
We offer both in-office and telehealth (or online) sessions. We have therapists who are available seven days a week for morning, afternoon, and evening sessions. Your availability and preferred session times will also be considered when pairing you with a therapist.
We also offer a convenient online scheduling system so you can schedule appointments with your therapist with the click of a button. We are dedicated to being available when and where you need us.
To help make our services more accessible, we work with various insurance providers to help you maximize your benefits and lower costs when possible. Our intake team will let you know if we accept your particular insurance. We provide a quick and convenient way to view your account and pay your bill online via our Patient Portal. We also accept cash payments.
